I see Alan and some others "porting" linux-ha.org into the wiki. Because this is sometimes a little more work than one first expects, I created a small helper.
This is by no means perfect. E.g. nested tables are not directly possible in wiki markup. It does not process all sorts of HTML markup (yet). It leaves some &named; entities (because I did not add them yet to the %htmlchar hash yet).
"unconvertible" HTML markup is left as is. Remaining opening tags other than <a.*> are moved into the first column so they are easily spotted.
It does a pretty good job with tables, absolute links, bullet lists, images, comments, tt and pre, and paragraphs, and strips most of the garbage.
Usage: html2wiki < some.html > some-wiki-style.moin
After that, the remaining conversion steps in your favorite editor should be very easy to do.
