Most Latex books that I read focus on what Latex can do. My collection, on the contrary, focus on how Latex can be used. What's is the difference?
I am trying my best to make those people who are new to Latex pick up on it very easily. So I won't jump onto the topic of showing how to use the math in Latex, or bibliography, and spend a lot of effort covering them in detail, to show how powerful Latex can be, as most Latex books do. Instead, you will find the topics here are arranged according to their difficulties. The earily chapters are for people to get started easily. People can pick and read the level they feel comfortable.
Moreover, people can know how powerful Latex can be step by step, not be scared away by its overwhelming powerfulness. I want to stress that Latex is powerful, however it is not a tool to refer to only when you want to write math formula or serious thesis/books.
In fact, you can use Latex for everyday life, e.g., to present a slide show, prepare a fax, write a letter, or print mailing labels. If you have to learn tools for preparing them, why not just learn Latex, the one tool that covers them all?
