"krfb" and "krdc" allow you to setup & control a session on a remote computer. Check out the "kdenetwork" package. Once "kdenetwork" installed they can be found under KDE Menu > Internet > Remote Access
My non-technical description of krdc & krfb
krdc is a client that will allow you to control a remote pc using the VNC or RDP protocol. And krfb is a server you install on your remote pc to allow you to connect to and control it using the VNC protocol.
If you install and setup "krfb" on you PCLOS pc then you could use UltraVNC http://www.uvnc.com/download/index.html or TightVNC Viewer http://www.tightvnc.com/download.html which would be my choice, because they have a viewer (client) that can be run without installing. This would allow remote control of the PLCOS pc From the XP pc and the PCLOS display would display everything done from the XP machine.
